Installing Push on Hose Fittings

Step One: Cut your hose to length. Hold your hose in the vice to keep it steady and using a fine tooth comb cut the hose straight. If there is any debris on the end of the hoses where you have cut make sure that you remove this.

Step Two: Hold your push on hose fitting in the vice.

Step Three: Get a jug of hot (boiling) water and rest the end of your hose in it for a few minutes to make it soften.  Then push the hose into the new fitting. Be sure not use any kind of lubricant otherwise hose security could be impaired.

Step Four: ensure that the hose in on the push on hose fitting as far as it can go and then tight up against the collar.
